Our Origins

Originally the company was formed by the partners to support their ongoing Hong Kong Internet marketing efforts, which had begun when the Internet was young and the web was new. We made use of our skills from other parts of the computer industry; Winnie having worked in factory manufacturing computer systems, before moving to insurance programming, while Raymond had worked in publishing, direct mail and interior design among other industries in roles relating to programming, training, PC support and team management.

As long term “online people”, having years of experience with dial-up bulletin boards and other similar precursors to the Internet, it was natural for us to dive right into this new digital world and we were soon developing websites, posting to usenet and so on.

Even in those pre-Google days it was important to optimise websites for search engines, at that time Yahoo and Altavista, and it only become more important when Google appeared and rapidly made all other engines obsolete.

Building Websites that ranked well in search engines became second nature to us, and websites that were originally a hobby and written for personal interest soon turned into a business.  Using affiliate marketing in Hong Kong and paid banner advertising through Google AdSense the sites rapidly became a source of income.

Helping friends, family, neighbours and old consulting clients to build and manage their own websites also because part of the business, with both commercial and pro bono projects giving us more experience with different fields of interest.  This naturally became a digital consultancy service (in HK) with us advising people on how to get the best out of digital media.

Winnie has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, including 10 years in her own Digital Marketing Company. She is certified in System Analysis and Design as well as Google AdWords Advanced Search marketing. Before moving into online marketing Winnie worked in a wide range of Hong Kong industries including toy trading, electronics manufacturing, including MRP, consumer electronics, watches and the insurance industry.  This wide ranging experience comes in very useful when being an internet marketing firm for a range of customers.  Her current role involves SEO, web design, affiliate marketing and digital promotion. A native of Hong Kong Winnie is fluent in both Chinese and English.
